Control Private Equity
About
Our primary focus is on acquiring and growing businesses in the steel and metals industry and we have executed on this strategy for over 40 years. We are long term permanent capital providers and utilize the capabilities of the family office to grow and add value to the companies we acquire.
Investment Criteria
We are actively seeking new platform investments as well as bolt-on acquisitions for our current portfolio companies:
Stage: We are looking to acquire operating businesses with at least 5 years of operating history.
Location: We will invest in any geographic area in the continental USA and Canada
Sector: Focus on Steel and metals distribution and manufacturing
Size: We are targeting businesses from $0MM - $25MM in EBITDA with definable growth opportunities. We also consider distressed businesses.
Structure: We look for control and to invest alongside management teams partnering with them for the company’s next stage of growth
Minority Private Investments

Gupta Capital invests directly into transactions as a minority investor across many industries. We like to partner and invest with private equity firms, independent sponsors and other family offices and focus on the following areas:
Real Estate - Commercial, multi-family residential and hospitality
Commercial Banking
Traditional buyouts
Venture and growth capital
Investment Criteria
We are actively seeking new investments within the following criteria:
Stage: We will invest across the life cycle of a business, from pre-revenue to mature operating businesses
Location: We will invest in any geographic area in the continental USA and Canada
Sector: We are sector agnostic
Check Size: Typical check size is $1-5MM
Structure: We will invest both equity and debt capital in these transactions

Gupta Capital maintains a diverse multi-asset class portfolio outside of its direct private equity investments. We seek to achieve strong risk-adjusted returns through rigorous manager selection, diversification and a heavy focus on alternative investments.
